Vehicle Description Rare 1958 Austin Healey 100-6.
Series BN6L 2 seat roadster.
Most Austin Healeys of this generation were built as a 2
2, but this is a pure 2 seat only.
Before Carroll Shelby worked out the deal with AC Cars he tried to work a deal with Austin Healeys to use their bodies and chassis as the basis for Cobra, so it's quite fitting that decades ago someone converted this car from the original straight 6 to a Ford 302.
The engine is supposed to be from a late 1960s Mustang, but I cannot confirm that.
It is backed up by a Muncie 4 speed.
Engine runs well, sounds good and does not exhibit any signs of damage or excessive wear.
Stronger differential - think it's a Ford 9 It has a large alloy fuel tank in place of the original.
The body is fairly straight and solid for an unrestored Austin Healey.
The frame looks good too.
Very little corrosion in the car.
The candy apple red paint is old and in poor condition but still shiny.
Carpet is quite presentable.
It has a pair of brand new Austin Healey seats.
It also has all new wheel cylinders, brake master and brake hoses, but for some reason the brakes still don't work.
Chrome wire wheels are nearly new.
