Job Description:
This position assists with the management of CV Service Line patients. In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will assist with patients that have been admitted into the CV Service by the cardiologists or CV surgeons or when the CV Service Line Physicians have been consulted by other physicians. The Nurse Practitioner may assist the CV Service Line Physicians with admission of patients and patient rounds.
Hours will be rotating days: 4 days on, 3 days off one week then 3 days on, 4 days off the next week.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Masters program.
Continuing education certifications.
Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.
Must hold a national Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area.
Experience:
Prefer 1-3 years Nurse Practitioner experience with cardiac patients in acute hospital setting.
Previous experience as an RN in ICU or cardiac step-down is required.
SKILLS:
ACLS Certification
Prescriptive Authority (DEA Number)
Proficient in clinical skills of assessment of cardiac patients.
Ability to perform consults, history and physicals, discharges and other duties with their scope of practice.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
