Summary:
This role is responsible for Project Management and Engineering support of quarter-turn valves and actuation. This includes providing support for new product development projects and large project sales orders. Sales order support can involve specification review, product design, and manufacturing support as needed. Product development project management will involve managing a multifunction project team to realize the introduction of new product, from concept, through design, and into manufacturing and sales release. Project Engineering prepares schedules, aligns resources, and performs technical activities related to engineering projects.

Functions:
Prepare schedules, align resources, generate and deliver reports, coordinate global project teams, and perform technical activities related to engineering projects.
Coordinate prototype and qualification testing for new product development projects.
Coordinate with project sales and engineering to complete product design and documentation with respect to bills of material, drawings, etc. for large project orders.
Keep abreast of emerging market technologies and look for ways to improve and streamline department processes.
Drive and participate in process improvements within the engineering department in an effort to meet departmental metric goals.
Position Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering field required.
Degree in engineering is preferred
Project Management Professional Certification is preferred
Experience/Requirements:
5
years work experience within Project/Program Management
Powerful self-driven work ethic, willing to work extended hours as needed.
Strong history of successful project management.
Experience with castings, forgings and machining operations.
Knowledge of various materials, especially grades of steel and other alloys.
Understanding of various International Standards relating to valves preferred.
Proficient with Oracle ERP and Windchill PDM systems preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, working with machinists, fabricators and assemblers.
Skills:
Ability to use engineering design and analysis tools, as well as Microsoft Office software and other productivity tools.
Excellent communications skills with ability to manage project teams.
Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal, communication, decision making and problem solving skills.
Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
