Overview:
Position strives to contribute to the success of the Company through development of new products, sustaining material and process certifications, and production support as required, where the development of materials utilized for Ink Marking industries is the principal focus. Position will be involved in all aspects of product support from R & D, product certification, process specification, and quality control. Expertise requires open communication with respect to required product/chemical information to all parties as needed for customer and government requirements.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Performs the research and development of new materials and processes for meeting customer demands.
Possesses a working chemistry background with good analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of all technical aspects of existing materials and their properties.
Develops products utilizing various materials and manufacturing techniques (pelletizing, extruder, mixing, and leaching equipment).
Unites as one team with Sales and Marketing to define customer's custom requirements, as well as, with chemists, engineers, and operations' personnel to take action and develop a solution involving a variety of materials and disciplines.
Transfers a prototype to pilot and then to operations for production.
Maintains ownership of the product through the products life cycle.
Evaluates new industry developments, materials, processes, and technologies.
Refines a design to take advantage of evolving technologies and materials.
Maintains detailed and orderly records of all experiments and designs.
Generates needed documentation for costing and routings.
Demonstrates passion by showing urgency with integrity and respect to all associates.
Complies with all policies and procedures. Manages technical information for customer and governmental requirements (SDS, ROHS, Reach, etc.).
Demonstrates knowledge in quality control techniques and testing methods.
Performs other job functions as assigned by manager or designee.
Demonstrates regular and consistent daily attendance at the Cookeville campus
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Design/manufacturing experience with Inks, polymers, especially thermoplastics, particularly polyurethane and polyethylene.
Plastic processing experience with an emphasis in extrusion and molding.
Knowledge and understanding of scientific laws and principals with an ability to operate laboratory equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Self starter with strong organization and follow-up skills.
3-5 years experience specifying chemicals, raw materials, and equipment.
Strong project management experience with history of successful product introduction.
Regularly must be able to sit, walk, talk, see, hear, and frequently walk and stand.
Frequently may lift up to 20 pounds.
Must occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, and frequently use fingers for keying.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
